Down Argentine Way (1940)

1h 29min. // Glenda Crawford (played by Betty Grable) purchases a horse from Ricardo Quintana (Don Ameche), who hails from Argentina. However, the transaction is annulled due to the disapproval of Ricardo’s father, Casiano (J. Carrol Naish), who holds a grudge against the Crawfords. Despite this setback, Glenda decides to vacation in Argentina, where she and Ricardo defy their families’ animosity and fall deeply in love amidst the vibrant local entertainment and lush landscapes, including performances by the iconic Carmen Miranda.
