31min. // A perpetually soused gentleman arrives at an upscale health spa, allegedly to take the waters and reform, but his real luggage is a massive suitcase packed with bottles. Before he even reaches the front desk, he becomes entangled in a revolving door, turning a simple entrance into a dizzying mechanical battle that leaves staff and guests alike in chaos. His troubles multiply when he inadvertently crushes the already-bandaged foot of a hulking gout patient, instantly earning a sworn enemy in the corridors of cure and respectability.

Once inside, the bather’s antics escalate as he evades the spa’s medicinal regime. A well-meaning attendant keeps pressing glasses of the curative mineral water on him, which he discreetly discards at every opportunity, determined to stick to his smuggled liquor. Between pratfalls and near-disasters, he meets a gentle young woman whose sincerity cuts through his boozy bravado. Seated between her and the zealous water-pusher, he’s pulled—literally and figuratively—between temptation and reform, as she urges him to abandon drink and embrace a healthier life.

Meanwhile, the furious gout sufferer lumbers through the hotel, trying to convince management to expel the unruly guest. The more the staff attempts to impose order, the more the hidden alcohol seeps—sometimes quite literally—into the spa’s regimen, turning sober treatments into slapstick bedlam. As bottles are misplaced, mixed up, and poured where they absolutely shouldn’t be, the supposedly curative waters become a bubbling source of mayhem, sending patients and attendants staggering in unexpected ways.

The mounting chaos transforms the prim resort into a carnival of misdirected therapies and physical comedy. Amid the uproar, the would-be patient is forced to confront the mess his drinking has created, teetering between comic disaster and the faint possibility of genuine change. The film turns the era’s anxious debates over alcohol into a brisk, inventive farce, filled with inventive gags, precise timing, and a surprisingly tender undercurrent beneath all the tumbling bodies and spinning doors.

5min. // A quiet suburban afternoon is interrupted when a mysterious package arrives on the doorstep of an unsuspecting family, containing nothing more than a shiny new pogo stick and no explanation. The family dog, curious and excitable, quickly becomes obsessed with the strange bouncing contraption. Each attempt to understand or control it leads to ever-escalating chaos around the neighborhood, as the pogo stick seems almost to have a mischievous mind of its own.

As the dog chases the pogo stick through yards, streets, and construction sites, ordinary settings are turned into slapstick obstacle courses. Garden fences become launchpads, laundry lines become traps, and even passing traffic is drawn into the tumbling spectacle. The humans can only react in baffled frustration as the dog and pogo stick wreak havoc, transforming a normal day into a frenetic chain of sight gags and pratfalls.

The mayhem builds to a wild crescendo, with the pogo stick bouncing ever higher and the dog ever more determined. Just when it seems disaster is inevitable, the frenzied energy resolves in a final, absurd twist that restores a fragile sense of order. The brief adventure leaves the neighborhood worse for wear but somehow cheerfully intact, as the last bounce fades and calm returns—at least until the next oddity arrives in the mail.

2h 21min. // Two small-town young men, Jack Powell and David Armstrong, find their carefree lives upended when the Great War erupts and both enlist in the U.S. Air Service. Once friendly rivals for the same girl back home, they carry their competition into the skies of Europe, where flying is as new and dangerous as the war itself. Their training transforms them from eager boys into daring combat pilots, and the cockpit becomes the arena where courage, jealousy, and loyalty collide.

As Jack and David are shipped to the front, the film plunges into the chaos of aerial warfare, with sweeping dogfights and perilous bombing runs that push early special effects to astonishing heights. On the ground, the story is anchored by Mary, the spirited girl-next-door who quietly loves Jack and follows him overseas as an ambulance driver. Amid swirling biplanes, roaring engines, and bursting shells, the three young lives become entangled in a poignant triangle, where unspoken feelings and misunderstandings carry as much weight as enemy fire.

The brutal reality of war strips away illusions of glory. Jack and David’s rivalry slowly deepens into a hard-won camaraderie forged under fire, even as fate conspires to test that bond in the cruelest possible way. The film builds toward a devastating climax in the clouds, where a tragic case of mistaken identity turns victory into heartbreak. In its closing moments, the story returns home, haunted by loss yet searching for reconciliation, capturing both the exhilaration and the terrible cost of the first great age of aviation combat.

Blending intimate romance with large-scale spectacle, the film showcases the dawning power of cinema to put audiences right inside the cockpit, while never losing sight of the human faces behind the uniforms and goggles. Its mix of technical bravura and emotional sincerity still resonates with viewers who appreciate silent-era storytelling at its most ambitious.

53min. // A lone rider drifts into a rough frontier town and almost immediately lands in a bare-knuckle brawl with hotheaded Ben McClure. Tempers cool as quickly as they flared, and over drinks the two strangers discover an unexpected bond: McClure works for the newcomer’s father at the local freight company. Their uneasy camaraderie is barely formed when they stride into the freight office and straight into a holdup in progress.

Inside, Mason’s father is being forced to empty his own safe at gunpoint. In a desperate bid to defend what’s his, he reaches for a weapon and is cut down by a bullet fired from outside the window. With his dying breath, he gives his son the only clue to the murderer’s identity: a polka dot bandanna. From that moment, the story becomes a grim pursuit, as Mason sets out to find the faceless killer hidden among the town’s ranch hands, drifters, and outlaws.

Suspicion, shifting loyalties, and the code of the Old West collide as Mason digs deeper into the mystery. Every card game, saloon encounter, and shadowy alley might conceal the man with the telltale bandanna, and every ally could prove false when guns are drawn. The film builds its tension not just on flying fists and six-shooters, but on the question of whether justice on the frontier will be served by the law—or by a son’s thirst for vengeance.

1h 46min. // Explorer Professor Challenger is taking quite a beating in the London press thanks to his claim that living dinosaurs exist in the far reaches of the Amazon. Newspaper reporter Edward Malone learns that this claim originates from a diary given to him by fellow explorer Maple White’s daughter, Paula. Malone’s paper funds an expedition to rescue Maple White, who has been marooned at the top of a high plateau. Joined by renowned hunter John Roxton, and others, the group goes to South America, where they do indeed find a plateau inhabited by pre-historic creatures, one of which they even manage to bring back to London with them.
